One of our favorite appetizers is Bang Bang Shrimp, from Bonefish. We’ve been known to just order the appetizer and make a meal out of it.
For a different Friday night menu item, I recreated this favorite, using a copycat recipe I found online, and tweaking it a bit to fit our taste.
Bang Bang Shrimp sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayo (I used about a 1/3 cup)
- 1/4Thai Chili Sauce (I used the mild)
- 2-3 squirts siracha sauce (more or less depending on your preference)
- 3-4 dozen peeled, deveined, and tailor removed shrimp (1dozen per person for a meal)
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
Keep warm in preheated or low temp oven while frying remaing shrimp. Place fried shrimp in large bowl, drizzle with bang bang sauce, and toss to coat.
Serve with a salad or loaded baked potato for a quick and easy weekend dinner.
